Mario Sandoval emerged as the frontman of the pop group Sandoval following the dissolution of the duo LU in 2008. The group’s debut studio album, Lo Que Siempre Soñamos Ser, was released on 21 July 2009 and achieved gold certification in Mexico; its lead single, "A Quien Tú Decidiste Amar", launched the project and secured a spot at Number 1 on local sales charts. In 2010, the single "Loco Extraño" expanded the group’s reach, while 2011 saw the live album Zona Preferente (En Vivo), which combined tracks from the debut album with earlier LU material and was issued in CD, DVD, and Blu‑ray formats. Mario continued as a solo artist with the 2012 release of Deja que la vida te sorprenda, produced by Michele Canova, featuring singles such as "Yo Sabía" and "La Noche", the latter serving as a soundtrack for the telenovela La mujer del Vendaval. The 2018 album 7:11 added hits like "Por siempre te amaré" and "Cuánto Más", and in 2025 the artist announced the forthcoming album Estrella Fugaz with the single "A China o a Japón". Throughout his career, Mario Sandoval has maintained an active presence on digital platforms, toured nationally, and collaborated with artists such as Martina La Peligrosa, contributing to his sustained visibility in the Latin pop scene.
