Rebeca Lane, born Rebeca Eunice Vargas Tamayac on December 6, 1984, in Ciudad de Guatemala, is a Guatemalan singer and feminist activist. Growing up during the civil war in Guatemala, she was deeply influenced by her family's involvement in music and poetry. Her early activism led her to explore rap as a medium for social commentary and her music often addressed themes of feminism, social violence, and cultural identity. In 2014, she released Canto, followed by Poesía venenosa (2015) and Alma mestiza (2016). In 2018, she released the album Obsidiana. Beyond music, Lane is also known for her work as a poet and has published her poetry in various literary magazines and books. She founded Somos Guerreras, an initiative to empower women in Central American hip-hop.
