Delux, a pop rock band from Tijuana, Mexico, formed in the summer of 2000. The group's early influences included 1980s new wave music and the SoCal punk scene. Their debut self-titled record was released in 2004, featuring three music videos that garnered significant attention, including an MTV Video Music Awards Nomination for Best New Artist in 2005. In 2007, Delux signed with Sony/BMG and released their second album, Entre La Guerra y El Amor, which expanded their audience reach. The band's bilingual album, $, was released in 2010, earning them recognition as one of the most influential Hispanic rock bands of the Internet era. Notable singles include "Más de lo que te Imaginas", "Chat Noir" and "Entre la Guerra y el Amor". Delux also appeared on Alternative Press' list of 100 bands to watch in 2008.
