Dealing with grief after losing one of her parents, Lucy Dye evolved a mindset of "now or never" and puts all of her heart into creation: "it's where I feel at home and free“. She makes art independently with her friends where it’s all about the vibe of being 20 something in the years 20 something. Inspired by the world that is constantly changing around them in a fast pace, they are not shying away from taking time to discover their true self that exists within - trying to inspire others to do the same. She wants to bring people together through their art expression, and create a communal space of sharing and celebrating diversity. She believes that love, feminitity, queerness and deep conversations can empower the world.
Lucy Dye's Debut EP "Shadow Work" is inspired by the healing process she experienced by writing autobiographical songs about her trauma. With a powerful yet vulnerable voice, she delves deep into topics like toxic relationships, fears and loneliness to face her own shadows and turn them into light and positivity: "I want to inspire my listeners to not be scared by creating an atmosphere musically and lyrically where people can feel safe, supported and strong!"
Lucy Dye doesn't want to be pigeonholed and makes her extraordinary musical diversity very clear. Due to her fascination with film and digital production she formed a way of self-taught music production and directing music videos that reflect her Avant Pop visions.
