Maxi Espíndola (born Máximo Espíndola on December 3, 1994, in San Miguel de Tucumán) is an Argentine singer and actor who first gained public visibility in the teen TV world before building a mainstream pop career. In 2013, he was cast in Cris Morena’s series Aliados, where he met fellow cast member Agustín Bernasconi; the pair bonded around music, began uploading covers, and gradually shaped that chemistry into the duo MYA. After several years developing their sound and audience, MYA formally broke into the pop-urbano circuit with the debut single “Amor prohibido” in 2017, then expanded into a run of collaborative singles that positioned Maxi Espíndola as a fluent hook-writer and vocalist in the Latin-pop ecosystem. The duo’s first studio album, Hoy (2019), consolidated those early hits, and by 2020 MYA were building broader regional momentum with “2:50,” which later gained an even bigger profile through “2:50 (Remix)” in 2021 alongside Tini and Duki. That same year, MYA continued their album cycle with Suena MYA! (2021), keeping Maxi Espíndola visible through high-frequency releases and collaborations. In 2024, the duo closed a major chapter with the album BLANCO Y NEGRO, leaning back into ballad-forward pop and reaffirming their identity as a two-voice project. By 2025, Maxi Espíndola also stepped out more explicitly under his own artist name, launching a solo/featured run that included “Amor Sincero,” “Nada es lo Mismo” (with Franco Rizzaro), “Por Ese Hombre” (with Aneley and Valen), “Ya No Llora (Remix)” (with Marama and Max Carra), and the single “Me Presento,” credited with Valen—tracks that marked a clear pivot toward a solo career.
