Teach-In, a Dutch band formed in 1967, gained significant attention with the addition of singer Getty Kaspers in 1973. Their early success included a top 11 hit with "Spoke to The Lord Creator" in 1971 and three top 20 hits in the Netherlands in 1974, including "Fly Away" and "In the Summer Night", both reaching the top 5. Teach-In's most notable achievement was winning the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 with "Ding-A-Dong", released on March 15, 1975. This victory was particularly remarkable as they were the first to perform, contrary to the usual advantage of being last. Following this success, Teach-In released several albums including Get On Board and See The Sun. Notable singles from these periods include "Goodbye Love" and "Rose Valley", which reached Number 1 in the top 20. After Getty Kaspers left the group, new members Betty and Marianne joined, leading to further hits like "Upside Down", which peaked at number 2 in the Netherlands. Teach-In continued with albums such as Dear John in 1978, featuring the hit single of the same name, and Greenpeace, supporting the environmental organization. Despite these successes, Teach-In disbanded in 1980, following the departure of key members and the lackluster performance of their final singles "Regrets" and "Bad Days/I Wish You All The Lucks". Getty Kaspers pursued a solo career, while other former members formed new projects like Balloon trio.
