The band Alhena has been founded in 2010 in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz. It was established by a group of experienced instrumentalists who, at the same time, parted with their previous projects. According to the original assumptions, the band arose from the need to create, for good fun and originative entertainment, and its activity resulted in the release of the mini-album in 2011, simply called Alhena. To a positive surprise, the EP has been received very positively and has over one hundred reviews, both in domestic and foreign music services, and even magazines (including Polish edition of the Metal Hammer Magazine). It was a strong impulse for Alhena to change in approach about itself and start regular concert activity. Alhena performed alongside such bands as Tides from Nebula, £¹ki £an, The Skys or Closterkeller. In the meanwhile, the band has been invited to contribute to several compilation albums, e.g. „Sampler vol. 5” [PL] „Des Filles et des Riffs vol. 3” [FR], „World of Glass vol. 3” [FR], „Virgines Metallium” [USA]. However, due to the constant problems with the line-up, the session was prolonged, to be finalized at the beginning of 2018.
In 2019, Alhena established cooperation with the 'Around Music' label. Under this alliance, the album "Breaking the Silence... ...by Scream" has been released in October 2019.
