Biyografi

Dexta Daps is the stage name of Jamaican dancehall and reggae artist Louis Grandison, born on January 12, 1986, in Kingston, Jamaica. Raised in the neighborhood of Seaview Gardens, home to famed dancehall performers such as Bounty Killer and Elephant Man, he developed an interest in music from a very young age and often cites his humble origins as the source of inspiration behind many of his songs. Even though made his official recording debut in 2012 with the singles "Save Me Jah" and "May You Be," it wasn't until 2014 that he finally got his breakthrough thanks to the popularity of the tracks "7-Eleven" and "Jealous Ova," recorded in collaboration with Tifa. Over the next few years, Dexta Daps paid homage to his hometown on the heartwarming "Shabba Madda Pot" (2015) and premiered his studio debut Intro (2017) alongside an accompanying erotic film that accrued over 9 million views before it was taken down from video-sharing platforms. In 2020, the self-proclaimed sex-symbol of dancehall dropped a second album titled Vent (2020) featuring guest spots by Beenie Man, Friyie, Ikaya, and Tarrus Riley. An extended edition titled Vent Deluxe was issued in 2021 and included additional features from Davido, Louie Culture, and Canadian R&B singer and rapper Tory Lanez.
