The Lathums, a four-piece Indie Rock band from Wigan met by chance when they were all grouped together in a music project at their college in late 2018. Inspired by funky guitar music from previous decades, their synergy was apparent from the off, with their biggest single to date, “The Great Escape” coming from that first session.
At only 19 years old the band sold out their first headline gig at Jimmy’s in Manchester, after relentlessly filling out their local pubs and venues in their hometown. With over 7000 hardcore followers on Twitter, many of whom snapped up their infamous yellow t-shirts in no time at all, The Lathums are following in the footsteps of the great new wave of guitar bands like Blossoms, DMA’s and The Snuts.
Already heavily tipped by the likes of Tim Burgess, The Coral and former Verve drummer, Pete Salisbury, The Lathums are looking to go all the way.
