Biyografi
Jakob Bro is one of Denmark's most successful and respected jazz performers of the modern era and has worked with many leading jazz musicians including Chris Meek, Paul Bley, Kurt Rosenwinkel, George Garzone and Kenny Wheeler. Bro currently heads up a trio with two acclaimed American avante-garde jazz musicians - drummer Joey Baron and double bass and cello player Thomas Morgan.
As well as his work with the trio, Bro has two further side projects to keep him busy: the first is a collaboration with the Danish jazz trumpeter and record producer Palle Mikkelborg and the second is a more esoteric partnership with the Danish electronic musician Thomas Knak which goes by the name of Bro/Knack.
Bro has performed on an impressive catalogue of albums under his own name and has also made numerous appearances as a sideman on many Nordic jazz albums. His talents are widely recognised in northern Europe and the talented guitarist/ composer has accrued an impressive number of awards including being a two-time winner of the The Carl Prize for Jazz Composer of the Year.
