RIO KOSTA

RIO KOSTA is a Los Angeles-based musical duo formed in 2022 by multi-instrumentalists and producers Mike Del Rio and Kosta Galanopoulos. Their music fuses 1970s psychedelia, instrumental funk, soulful vocal harmonies and hypnotic rhythms. Both studio musicians, they met during sessions for singer LP (Laura Pergolizzi)'s album Churches, and decided to form a duo corresponding to their musical affinities. After the release of the double single "Ancients / It's Starting" in 2025, the Higher and Mountain Top EPs broaden the spectrum, and the tracks "Mountain Top", "It's Starting" and "Follow the River" are remixed by Nico Morano and Fabio Aurea, Jaime Rosso for the second and Vandelux for the third. In July 2025, the album Unicorn is released on Verdigris Records, reaching No. 16 in the UK Top 20 Independent Album Breakers.
