Giovanni Zarrella

The German-Italian musician and presenter Giovanni Zarella was born in Hechingen on March 4, 1978. He celebrated his musical breakthrough in 2001 with the casting show band Bro'Sis, with whom he released a number 1 album with Never Forget (Where You Come From) in 2002 and also stormed to the top of the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the single "I Believe". In 2006, the band split up and he released an album called Coming Up, which went unnoticed by the masses. After a two-year break, he returned in 2008 with the album Musica and landed a top 10 hit in Germany with the single "Wundervoll - Sei bellissima". He made another chart entry in 2010 with the album Ancora Musica and the single "I Can't Dance Alone", together with his ex-Bro'Sis colleague Ross Antony. In 2013, he became part of the band Vintage Vegas, which reinterprets pop songs in a swing style. His activities as a TV personality kept him in the spotlight and he was able to win over more fans with his own reality formats with his wife Jana Ina and appearances on shows such as Let's Dance and Schlag den Star. His fourth album La vita è bella (2019) made it into the top 10 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and was awarded several platinum awards. The most successful single was "Senza te (Ohne dich)", a Münchener Freiheit cover together with singer Pietro Lombardi. His 2021 album Ciao! even made it to number 1 in the charts in Germany and Austria and climbed to number 2 in Switzerland. The album Per sempre followed a year later. The entertainer achieved a number 1 success in Germany and Austria. In May 2025, Giovanni Zarrella releases the album Universo. He once again achieves high top 10 rankings.
