Conjure One is the electronic music project of Canadian producer Rhys Fulber. Raised in Canada, Fulber developed an early interest in electronic production and joined Front Line Assembly, performing at the 1996 Roskilde Festival before leaving to pursue a solo career. He established a studio in Amsterdam, where exposure to Mediterranean sounds inspired his debut album. In 2002, Conjure One was released through Nettwerk, fusing keyboard‑based beats with Middle Eastern ambient textures; the single "Tears from the Moon" featuring Sinéad O'Connor reached number 42 on the UK charts. The 2005 follow‑up Extraordinary Ways introduced trip‑hop elements and collaborations with Tiff Lacey, Poe, and Chemda, while the 2010 album Exilarch continued the blend of atmospheric synths and vocalists. In 2015, Fulber signed with Armada Music and released Holoscenic, and in 2022 he issued Innovation Zero on Black Hole Recordings. Throughout his career, Conjure One has released numerous singles such as "Premonition" (featuring Jeff Martin of The Tea Party), "Redemption" (featuring Chemda) and "Ghost" (featuring Kristy Thirsk), and performed on international tours supporting both his own releases and collaborations with artists like Christian Burns. The project remained active, contributing remixes for acts including P.O.D. and Alice Cooper, and maintaining a presence in the electronic music scene with continued releases and live performances.
