Pendulum

Pendulum, an Australian electronic rock band, was formed in 2002 in Perth, Western Australia. The group consisted of Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, and Paul Harding. Before forming Pendulum, Swire and McGrillen were members of the metal band Xygen. Pendulum's breakthrough came with their debut single "Another Planet" in 2004, which gained significant attention. Their first album, Hold Your Colour, was released in June 2005 and achieved notable success, entering the UK Albums Chart at Number 9. The album featured collaborations with various artists, including DJ Fresh and MCs Spyda and Tenor Fly. In May 2008, Pendulum released their second studio album, In Silico, which peaked at Number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. The band continued to gain popularity with subsequent releases such as Immersion in May 2010, which reached Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart, and the single "Watercolour", which hit Number 4. Pendulum also performed live shows, including a notable performance at the Ultra Music Festival in 2016. The band's lineup evolved over time, with members like Peredur ap Gwynedd and Kevin Sawka joining. In 2012, Rob Swire announced an indefinite hiatus for Pendulum to focus on their new project Knife Party. However, Paul Harding continued to perform under the Pendulum name. They reunited in 2016 and have since released the remix album The Reworks (2018), the EP Elemental (2021), and Anima (2023). In August 2025, they released their fourth studio album, Inertia.
