Ylvis

Ylvis, a Norwegian comedy duo consisting of brothers Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker, debuted as professional variety artists in 2000 after being discovered by impresario Peter Brandt during a high school performance. Their debut show, "Ylvis en kabaret" ("Ylvis: A Cabaret"), was followed by "Ylvis en konsert" ("Ylvis: A Concert") in 2003. In 2011, Ylvis launched their comedy talk show I kveld med Ylvis (Tonight with Ylvis) on TVNorge. The show featured a variety of comedy and parody music videos, including "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)", which was released in September 2013 to promote the third series of the talk show. The song went viral, accumulating over 1.1 billion views on YouTube by July 2024. This success led to international performances and major label record contracts. Ylvis also released an album titled Volume 1 in November 2014, which compiled ten older singles. In 2018, they produced a series called Stories from Norway, presenting short musical documentaries that addressed satire, fun, and comedy. The album went to number 17 on the charts. They returned in 2025 with the single "Svenskejævel" which hit number 4.
