Mert

Mert (born March 5, 1996) is a singer and rapper from Germany. Born Mert Ekşi, the artist initially began his career as a social media star. From 2015, Mert dedicated himself to rap music and recorded his own songs. His debut single "Ausländer" (2015) immediately made it into the German charts. in 2016, Mert released the highly acclaimed EP AMK. in 2017, Mert's debut album Kunde Ist König finally follows. The longplayer climbed to number 2 in the German charts. It also reached top positions in Austria (4th place) and Switzerland (11th place). in 2018, Mert released his next album, Delikanlı . The rapper also made it into the top 10 of the German charts at number 6. Mert released another album, Boxerschnitt, in 2019. This also marks the end of his collaboration with the record label Husla Music. Mert founds his own label, Mula Brothers. His album Kunde Ist König 2 (2020) is released on this label. At number 8, Mert makes it back into the top 10 of the German charts. The singles "U23" (number 19 in Germany together with Z) and "Ausländer 2020" (number 16 in Germany together with Alpa Gun) become hits. In 2021, he records the album Joga Bonito together with Z.
