Igor Ivanovich "Garik" Sukachov, born on December 1, 1959, in Myakinino, a Moscow suburb, is a Russian singer-songwriter. He formed his first band, Zakat Solntsa Vruchnuyu, in 1977 and released one album before disbanding in 1983. Sukachov then co-founded the band Bravo with Zhanna Aguzarova in 1984. In 1986, he established Brigada S, known as a 'proletarian jazz orchestra,' which released six studio albums and toured internationally before disbanding in 1993. Sukachov's solo career began in 1991 with the release of "Акция «Нонсенс»" (Action Nonsense). He has since released over ten solo albums, including Poetica (2003) and My Vysotsky (2014). Sukachov also co-organized the Rock Against Terror event in 1989. His song "Napoi menia vodoi" ("Quench my thirst") was sampled by Robert Miles for his 1995 hit "Children".
