Ankor

Ankor, a Spanish metalcore band from Catalonia, was formed in 2003 by members who were around 14 or 15 years old. Their debut album, Al Fin Descansar, released in 2008 on Santo Grial Records, featured heavy metal with power metal influences and was sung entirely in Spanish by Rosa de la Cruz. In 2011, Ankor released their second album, My Own Angel, which marked a shift to English lyrics and incorporated punk and metalcore elements. In May 2014, Rosa de la Cruz left the group, and Jessie Williams took over as the vocalist. Ankor released their EP Get On The Winner Horse! in the same year, featuring re-recorded tracks with Williams. Their subsequent album, White Dragon (2019), showcased electro influences and diverse sounds. Ankor went on to further release Sink Or Swim in 2023.
