Biyografi

Like many aspiring artists of her generation, American R&B singer Justine Indira Skyers (August 24, 1995) leveraged her social media fame into a successful music career. Born in New York City into a family of Afro-Jamaican descent, she first rose to notoriety after singing a cover of Sam Sparro's "Black and Gold" at a music panel organized by performance rights organization BMI. During those years, she also cultivated a substantial following on her Tumblr account and organized meet-ups with her fans in the New York area. Her debut EP, Everyday Living, appeared in 2013 and helped her land a record deal with Atlantic Records. A year later, she returned with the single "Collide," a DJ Mustard production that featured a guest verse from rapper Tyga. Following the release of her second extended play Emotionally Unavailable in 2015, Justine Skye severed ties with Atlantic and issued the EP 8 Ounces (2016) through Roc Nation and Republic Records. Ultraviolet, her first release for the label, came out in 2018 and featured the collaborative singles "U Don't Know" with Wizkid and "Back for More" with Jeremih. After parting ways with Roc Nation, she issued the EP Bare with Me in 2020 and the Timbaland-produced Space & Time in 2021.
