Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı

born in East Turkestan, pianist, composer and dancer Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı arrived with her family in Turkey at the age of five. She took dance lessons at the ballet school, then studied piano at the State Conservatory in Istanbul, where she gave her first concert with orchestra at the age of fourteen. She continued her training in Austria, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, before learning to compose music for the screen. Back in Turkey, she teaches at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts and the University of Maltepe, then begins her career as a composer with the album Rachmaninov Anatolian Project, recorded with Ertan Tekin and Cenk Erdoğan, released in 2015 on the Kalan Music label. In addition to two other chamber music recordings, Music for Alto Flute & Cello with Ayşen Bulut (2020) and Rachmaninov: Works for Cello & Piano with Çağlayan Çetin (2023), Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı is making a name for himself as a compoist for films and TV series including the popular Kapı (2019), Yalı Çapkını (2022), Baba (2022), Gülcemal (2023) or Yalı Çapkını 2 (2024).
