Leonie

French pop-rock/folk-pop band Leonie was born in Les Sables-d'Olonne, Vendée, in the early 2000s. Its members are guitarist and trumpeter Marc Pradel, his brother, singer, guitarist and violinist Frédéric Pradel, and drummer Jérémy Mondolfo, who was replaced in 2014 by Alban Soulié when the band turned professional. The band's name refers to that of a young girl the Pradel brothers knew during their school years. After two self-produced acoustic albums of the same name, in 2021 the band released the album Les Années 68, on which the influence of surf rock music emerges. Then, in 2014, the year of the reformation and the arrival of Alban Soulié, Paris Océan was released. 2017 was a turning point for the band, who released the album Sable Noir, were spotted by Keen'V's producer, and signed with Universal Music. Keen'V invited them to support him, and the musicians opened for Amir and Kendji Girac. They then broke free of their contract to sign up with Sony, who released the track "Voulez-vous" (ranked 35th in the French Airplay chart), before collaborating with Tibz, Léa Paci, Philippine, Tom Frager and Barry Moore on "Et toi". In 2020, Léonie releases the single "Comme ça" and the following year, "Aujourd'hui".
