Biyografi

La Femme formed in Biarritz, France, in 2010, armed with a diverse sound inspired by psychedelic rock, classic French pop, punk, coldwave, and Krautrock. Guitarist Sacha Got and keyboardist Marlon Magnée co-founded the group as high school students and gradually expanded La Femme into an avant-garde collective over the years that followed, with vocalist Clémence Quélennec, bassist Sam Lefèvre, drummer Noé Delmas, singer Clara Luciani, multi-instrumentalist Lucas Nunez Ritte, and other musicians all spending time in La Femme's lineup. Inspired by forward-thinking artists like Kraftwerk, Velvet Underground, and the Cure, La Femme debuted with a self-titled EP in 2010, followed one year later by a second EP entitled Le Podium #1. However, it was the group's first full-length album, Psycho Tropical Berlin, that truly launched La Femme's career. Released in 2013 by Barclay Records, the record climbed to Number 33 on the French charts and won the Victoire de la Musique award for "Album Révélation of the Year" in February 2014. Clara Luciani left the lineup shortly thereafter, and La Femme continued to weather a string of lineup changes throughout the decade. Nonetheless, the band remained busy. Mystère appeared in 2016 and expanded La Femme's sound even further, while also cracking the Top 10 on the French Albums chart. Five years later, the group returned with Paradigmes, an album that featured La Femme's first song performed in English.
