Acid Witch

Acid Witch is an American extreme metal band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 2007. The group released their debut album Witchtanic Hellucinations (2008) on Razorback Records. Following this release, Acid Witch put out two EPs: Witch House (2009) and Midnight Mass (2010). Their second full-length album, Stoned (2010), was released under Hells Headbangers Records. The band's discography includes notable releases such as the EP Midnight Movies (2015) and the albums Evil Sound Screamers (2017) and Rot Among Us (2022). Their music blends death metal, doom metal, stoner metal, and psychedelic influences, drawing comparisons to horror film soundtracks. Their lyrics explore themes of witchcraft, Halloween, and Satanism, inspired by horror films and featuring elements of gore, sex, and drugs. The band refers to their distinctive style as "Halloween metal." Other releases include the split EP Spooky (2014) and the single "Pranks" (2023).
