Massive Ego, a British darkwave musical group, was formed in 1996 by Marc Massive and Andy J. Thirwall. The band initially gained attention with their Eurodance and Hi-NRG covers, releasing singles like "You Think You're a Man" and "Planet Earth." In 2007, they released their debut album Nite Klub Skewl, which included original tracks such as "Murder" and "Fight the Feeling." After parting ways with Thirwall, Massive sought a darker musical direction, collaborating with Empire State Human and Lia Organa & Electric Prince. In 2015, they signed with Out of Line Music and released their album Beautiful Suicide in February 2017. The band's themes evolved to include depression, anxiety, death, suicide, love, sex, and vampirism. Massive Ego announced a breakup in March 2022 due to health issues and personal circumstances but reformed in 2024 with Marc joined by Oliver Frost, Lloyd Price, and Porl Young.
