Sparx is an iconic American New Mexico music band composed of the Sanchez sisters—Verónica, Rosamaria, Kristyna, and Carolina—whose career began in the 1980s during their childhood. They gained recognition at the festival Juguemos a Cantar with the winning song "Vamos a Jugar" and rose to prominence in the 1990s with hits across Latin America and the U.S., blending styles like pop, corridos, cumbias, and boleros. The group’s discography includes standout albums like Lágrimas de Juventud (1991), Cantan Corridos (1996), and No Hay Otro Amor (2000), with hits such as "Te Amo, Te Amo, Te Amo," "Mandame Flores," and "El Corrido De Juanito" reaching Billboard’s Latin charts. Sparx frequently collaborates with their brother Lorenzo Antonio on projects like Corridos Famosos and the country duet "The Wild Side of Life/It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," showcasing their versatility. The sisters come from a celebrated musical family that includes their father Tiny Morrie, a pioneering musician; their uncles Al Hurricane and Baby Gaby; and their brother Lorenzo Antonio. Beyond their music, Sparx is deeply involved in philanthropy, funding scholarships for New Mexico students through the Sparx Lorenzo Antonio Foundation.
