Loïs Lane

Loïs Lane, a Dutch girl group consisting of sisters Suzanne and Monique Klemann, was formed in 1984. Named after Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane from DC Comics, the duo began their musical journey with Monique founding the band and later being joined by her sister Suzanne. In 1987, they participated in the Grote Prijs van Nederland contest, securing a record deal with Warner Music Group. Their debut album Loïs Lane peaked at Number 1 after the success of their second single "It's The First Time". This caught the attention of Prince, who invited them to support his Nude Tour in 1990. In 1992, they released Precious, collaborating with Prince on singles like "Sex" and "Qualified". Throughout the 1990s, Loïs Lane continued to release albums such as Fireflight (1995) and Covers (1996), which featured cover versions. In 2013, they released their album As One, marking a significant milestone in their career.
