Bárbara is Brazilian. Born in the south of Brazil, she grew up steeped in Samba, Churrasco and House Music.
Intended to make a career in law like her parents, she finally put her studies on hold and decided to move to Paris, to develop her career as a model and be at the heart of the parties she enjoyed so much. She started to mix.
In 2005 she met the French DJ and producer John Thomas, the one that introduced her to the fascinating world of music production. Between 2007 and 2009 they released several projects together, before decide to live in Senegal, far from the music industry, where Bárbara dove back into her origins through a project around the Brazilian barbecue.
But 10 years later John and Bárbara decided to move back to Europe to develop Ginga Music, their new label that allows Bárbara to elaborate her artistic creations linking electronic music to her cultural influences.
Revealing a special gift for composition and arrangements, Bárbara has released a dozen projects, including "Aquarela EP" in 2020, as well as "Deixa EP" and "Batida de Favela" in 2022, attracting the interest of international DJs such as Mark Farina, Luke Solomon, Girls of the Internet or Mochakk. In this year, the release of "Azambuja", an outstanding house project in collaboration with Belgian singer Delphine Gardin, has allowed Bárbara to achieve international reputation.
2023 marks a new turning point in her career and a highly anticipated return to the stage with a B2B project with John Thomas.
