Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, also known as Los Redondos and Los Redonditos de Ricota, was an Argentine rock band formed in 1976 in La Plata. The group consisted of Indio Solari on vocals, Skay Beilinson on guitar, and Carmen Castro as manager, with Ricardo Cohen serving as the artistic director. In their early performances, Los Redondos incorporated various art forms beyond music, including theatrical numbers and ballet. The group's first performance in Buenos Aires took place in 1978 with guitarist Conejo Jolivet. Their breakthrough came with the release of Gulp! in December 1984, followed by their second album Oktubre in October 1986, which significantly boosted their popularity. Notable songs from this period include "Barbazul versus el amor letal" and "La Bestia Pop". In April 1991, they released La Mosca y la Sopa, featuring hits like "Mi perro dinamita" and "Un poco de amor francés". The band continued to release influential albums such as Lobo Suelto-Cordero Atado in October 1993, which included the singles "Rock para el Negro Atila" and "Yo caníbal". In 1998, they released Último Bondi a Finisterre, marking a musical shift with digital sounds. The group's final album, Momo Sampler, was released in June 2000. Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota officially announced their separation on November 2, 2001.
