MC Dricka, born Fernanda Andrielli Nascimento dos Santos on October 7, 1998, in São Paulo, is a trailblazing voice in Brazilian funk, known for her raw, unapologetic lyrics and energetic beats that redefine the genre's male-dominated landscape. She first developed an interest in music through church choirs in her childhood but later gravitated toward funk, participating in rap cyphers as a teenager. After struggling to gain traction early in her career, she found success in 2019 with "Empurra Empurra," which catapulted her to national recognition. She quickly followed up with hits like "38 Carregado," "Vai Fazer Carão," and "Bate Bate," establishing herself as a dominant force in São Paulo’s funk scene. Her 2020 EP Rainha dos Fluxos cemented her reputation, and she expanded her reach with Acompanha in 2021, a project that emphasized women’s empowerment in funk. That same year, she became the only Brazilian nominated at the BET Awards for Best New International Act and gained global exposure when she appeared on a Times Square billboard. Rainha, her debut album, arrived in 2022 and was followed by Caldeirão in 2024, which featured guest appearances by DJ S2K, Arca, and Gordão do Pc.
