Paul Sylvester Morton, born on 30 July 1950 in Windsor, Ontario, is a Canadian-American bishop, gospel singer, and author. Born into a Christian family with his father pastoring congregations in Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan, he began his ministerial journey in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1972, he moved to Greater St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend Percy Simpson. During his tenure as senior pastor, he introduced Pentecostal and Charismatic elements and married Debra Brown, with whom he has three children. His musical career began in earnest with the release of his first EP, Jesus, When Troubles Burden Me Down, in 1986. He went on to produce several albums, including We Offer Christ (1989), Dealing With Impossibilities (1995), and Crescent City Fire (2001). Notable releases include "Watching Over Me" (2016) and 2016 live album Legacy - Live in New Orleans. Throughout his career, Paul S. Morton has maintained a significant presence in the gospel music scene.
