EZ Band, based in Houston, Texas, has garnered widespread attention by blending Regional Mexican norteño sounds with modern Top 40 hits. Led by Monterrey-born Jaime Guevara, the group emerged as a creative force with their innovative covers of global hits like “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T’s, Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” and Adele’s “Easy on Me.” Their 2023 debut album, Make It Norteño Vol. 1, has captivated listeners with its accordion-infused renditions and nostalgic yet fresh approach. Their viral norteño-style “Hey There Delilah” amassed over 1.5 million streams and millions more on social media, signaling their growing impact on a younger, bicultural audience. Jaime Guevara’s musical vision draws from his upbringing in Mexico and exposure to English-language music after immigrating to the U.S. at age nine, seamlessly merging cultural influences. EZ Band’s success highlights the resurgence of norteño music in the U.S., fueled by its cultural significance and the growing presence of Mexican-American communities.  The group's victory lap continued in 2024 with albums like Make It Norteño Vol. 2 (Side A), which featured a cover of Lana Del Rey's "West Coast," followed by Make It Norteño Vol. 2 (Side B) in September of that year.
