Judy Rodman

Judy Mae Rodman, born on May 23, 1951 in Riverside, California, is an American country singer and songwriter. After working as a jingle and background vocalist for acts such as Johnny Cash and Tammy Wynette, she signed with MTM Records and released her debut single "I've Been Had By Love Before" in 1985. She earned the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Female Vocalist award in 1985, and her track "Until I Met You" reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart the following year. Rodman issued the studio albums Judy (1985) and A Place Called Love (1987), both featuring top‑ten singles like "Girls Ride Horses Too". After MTM folded, she transitioned to songwriting, penning LeAnn Rimes’ hit "One Way Ticket", and later developed the vocal‑training method "Power, Path & Performance".
