Soho

Soho, an English pop trio consisting of identical twin sisters Jacqueline Cuff and Pauline Cuff, along with producer Tim London (also known as Timothy Brinkhurst), were formed in 1989. In the early 1980s, the Cuff sisters performed together as student nurses before meeting Tim Brinkhurst and forming Tim London's Orgasm, later known as Tim London and the Soho Sisters. Soho gained significant attention with their hit song "Hippychick", which reached number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1990 and peaked at number two for two weeks on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart. The song also topped the UK Singles Chart in 1991, featuring a sample from "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths. Following this, they released two albums on Savage/ATCO: Goddess and Thug. In 1994, after Savage Records ceased operations, Soho signed to Magnet/Warners and recorded several self-financed albums, including Oosh and Yard, which were later released in 2008. The band also contributed to film soundtracks, covering "Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)" for the movie Scream. They became inactive in 1999.
