Cola

Tim Darcy, a Montreal‑born guitarist and vocalist, teamed with bassist Ben Stidworthy and drummer Evan Cartwright in 2020 to form the post‑punk band Cola. The group released its debut single "Blank Curtain" in November 2021, earning praise from critics such as Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone. Cola followed with their first album Deep in View on 20 May 2022, then The Gloss on 14 June 2024 via Fire Talk Records. In April 2026 the band released their third album Cost of Living Adjustment, with the lead single "Hedgesitting" and a release date of 8 May 2026. Cola’s work has been noted for its aggressive guitar work and high‑tempo percussion, cementing its influence in contemporary post‑punk.
