Canadian-American composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Keith Kenniff, known professionally as Helios, was born on 9 October 1981 in Pennsylvania, US. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2006 with a degree in percussion and composition. Unomia, his first album under the moniker Helios, was released in 2004. The following year saw his release Eingya, which garnered critical acclaim.
His discography includes several notable albums such as The Malady Of Elegance (released in September 2008), Branches (January 30, 2012), and Sometimes (November 2015). He also composes post-classical piano music under the moniker Goldmund and is a composer for film, television, dance, and performance art. In 2010, Kenniff established the record label Unseen. He composed "Years" for Facebook's A Look Back feature and the soundtrack for the Emmy Award-winning documentary Blood Road. He continued to release albums at a consistent rate in the 2010s and 2020s, including Veriditas (2018), Domicile (2020), and Espera (2023).
