Hollywood Undead

The Los Angeles school friends who formed Hollywood Undead took the rap-metal template pioneered by Limp Bizkit and tore their way into the hearts of hard rock fans the world over. Wearing masks on stage and rapping about hard-drinking debauchery and hometown angst, the band quickly gathered a huge MySpace following leading them to become the first act signed to the website's new record label. A dispute with the company over censorship meant that they were never able to release an album, and after two years of inactivity they signed with A&M/Octone Records. Eventually released in 2008, their debut album 'Swan Songs' went to number 22 in the US with the single 'Undead' going on to feature in the hugely popular video game 'Madden NFL 09'.

Building an enthusiastic fan base in Europe, the band opened the 2009 Download festival with a typically blistering set before releasing the CD/DVD 'Desperate Measures' in 2009, which included live performances, cover versions and remixes. In 2010 it was announced that lead singer Deuce had left the band due to creative differences. Soon after they began working on their second album, which was released in 2011 under the title 'American Tragedy'. The album's first single 'Hear Me Now' made it to number two on the iTunes Rock Chart, with the next two singles - 'Comin' in Hot' and 'Been to Hell' - both being released as free downloads. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and was quickly followed by a remix album 'American Tragedy Redux' featuring both professional and fan remixes.

Their third album, 'Notes from the Underground', peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and number one on Canada's Top Albums Chart, with the lead single 'We Are' charting at number 33 on the US Rock Songs Chart. 2015 saw the release of their fourth album 'Day of the Dead', quickly followed in 2017 by their fifth titled 'Five'.
