Shadow of the Talisman are an alternative metal band that takes concept rock to the next level and more. The project is composed of Mike Smith on vocals, Zack Harrison and Owen Summerland on guitar, Eli Kinney on bass, and Kyle Williams on drums. Based out of Flint, Michigan, the five members are releasing their debut album, As Above, So Below, in February 2025, a record that draws influence from numerous rock and metal subgenres to tell the twisted tale of The Outlaw and The Dark One, with each song designed to reflect the contextual landscape of the particular passage. In all, Shadow of the Talisman strive to unite all facets of the metal scene through complex musical journeys, heart-wrenching lyrics, and a community where every metalhead can find something perfect for them. One might not even call Shadow of the Talisman a band, but rather, a village, a connective experience.
