Superchick

Superchick, an American Christian rock band from Chicago, formed in 1999. The group debuted at an Audio Adrenaline concert and continued performing live throughout that year. Superchick self-released their first album in 2000, which was later re-released as Karaoke Superstars after signing with Inpop Records. Their breakthrough came with the release of Last One Picked in October 2002. They signed with Columbia Records for their 2005 album Beauty from Pain, which was re-released as Beauty From Pain 1.1 in 2006, featuring the hit "Stand in the Rain". This song held the Number 1 spot on R&R Christian Hit Radio (CHR) chart for nine weeks in 2006/2007. Superchick was nominated for a Grammy Award in December 2008 for their album Rock What You Got. The band announced their disbandment in August 2013, following the death of drummer Chase Lovelace in May 2013.
