Biography

Dan Donegan and Mike Wengren were members of a hard rock band called Brawl. When their singer quit, their advertisement for a replacement was answered by David Draiman and from that point in 1996 their fortunes altered. They changed their name to Disturbed and, driven by extrovert Draiman's powerhourse vocals and his forthright songwriting, they released their debut album 'The Sickness' in 2000.

They went on to have a hit single with 'Stupify' while a European support tour with Marilyn Manson helped establish them internationally as second album 'Believe' (2002) and third album 'Ten Thousand Fists' (2005) both topped the US Albums Chart. The band achieved a hatrick of number one albums with 'Indestructible' in 2008 and one of their tracks 'This Moment' was featured in the movie 'Transformers', although it received criticisms from hardcore fans that they were sacrificing their heavy rock edge in favour of softer melodies.

Their fifth album, 'Asylum', was released in 2010 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. 'The Lost Children' followed, with a chart position of number 13, and then came an announcement of an hiatus to allow for solo projects. They returned in 2015 with 'Immortalized' followed by 'Evolution' in 2018.
