Patricia Gail Dickerson, also known as Gail Davies, born on June 5, 1948, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, is an American singer-songwriter. She started as a session singer at A&M Records, working with artists like Neil Young and Glen Campbell. In 1976, she moved to Nashville and signed with EMI Publishing. Her composition "Bucket to the South" became a hit for Ava Barber. Davies released her self-titled debut album in 1978 on CBS/Lifesong Records, featuring three top-20 singles, including "Someone Is Looking for Someone Like You". She switched to Warner Bros. Records in 1979 and produced The Game, which included the hit "Blue Heartache". Davies continued her success with albums like Givin' Herself Away (1982) and What Can I Say (1983). She formed the country/rock band Wild Choir and released their self-titled album in 1986.
