Nelson Antonio Osorio Montero, known as Nelson Henríquez, and born on January 27, 1944, in Maracaibo, Venezuela, was a singer-songwriter, musician, and composer. He began his music career at a young age, releasing his first single at 16 years old. In November 1966, he joined Billo's Caracas Boys, where he sang boleros and replaced José Luis "El Puma" Rodríguez. Henríquez also performed with Chucho Sanoja's orchestra, La Playa, and Super Combo Los Tropicales. His extensive career spanned over 40 years, during which he released numerous albums including Venezuela 75 (1974), El Fabuloso (1975), and El Inconfundible (1978). Henríquez gained significant popularity in Colombia, winning awards at the Feria de Cali and Carnaval de Barranquilla. His productions were certified gold and platinum. He passed away on March 3, 2014, in Miami, Florida, due to lung cancer.
