Toy-Box

Toy-Box is a Danish bubblegum pop and Eurodance ensemble from Denmark formed in 1996. The group was established by the vocalists Amir El-Falaki and Anila Mirza who both had professional experience as singers and dancers. El-Falaki previously performed as a dance teacher. Their recording career began with the debut single "Tarzan & Jane" (1998) which reached number 2 on the Dutch charts and number 15 on the Eurochart Hot 100. Their debut studio recording FanTastic (1999) reached Number 1 in the Netherlands and featured the tracks "Best Friend" (1999), "The Sailor Song" (1999), and "Teddybear" (1999). Their discography includes the studio recording ToyRide (2001) which reached number 22 in Denmark and featured the tracks "www.girl" (2001), "Wizard of Oz" (2001), and "Prince of Arabia" (2001). The ensemble became inactive in 2003. Following the split El-Falaki worked as a choreographer and Mirza pursued solo recordings under the stage name Aneela. The ensemble resumed activity in 2017 for festival tours alongside acts including Aqua and Vengaboys.
