La Sonora Siguaray, a Mexican tropical music group originally known as Sonora Milpa Alta, formed in 1963 in Milpa Alta, Mexico. They initially gained traction by imitating prominent artists of the time and winning local competitions. In 1968, they adopted the name La Sonora Siguaray and released their first album with the songs "No puedo engañarte" and "El Arañazo" under the label Rex. Directed by Ramiro Gómez Bermejo, they recorded four albums from 1968 to 1972 and achieved national success with hits like "El Sauce". Throughout the 1970s, they released multiple albums under various labels, including Yurico and Delta, and toured extensively in the United States and Latin America. Notable songs include "Te vas te vas". Their rich interpretive style was celebrated on XEB-AM radio.
