Doug is a farm kid from Michigan that somehow became a singer-songwriter on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. He's released six albums, and is currently writing and releasing songs from his studio, Hawksnest.
Doug performed with contemporary Christian music groups New Jerusalem and Good News Circle before launching out as a soloist, singing in concert halls, colleges, coffee houses and churches across the USA. Doug has also written, arranged or performed for video, TV, radio and sporting events—one of which was writing and conducting the strings on the NCAA Basketball Final 4 theme by David Barrett, "One Shining Moment." He’s composed music for over a dozen children’s “animated storybook” CD-ROMs including Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, Lamb Chop Loves Music, Tonka Raceway and others.
