The Chicago Mass Choir, a gospel choir from Chicago, Illinois, was founded in 1988 by James C. Chambers. The ensemble's debut album, Right Now was released in 1991. They were named Best New Artist at the Gospel Music Excellence Awards and won Song of the Year for "I Can Go to the Rock" in 1992. The choir released several commercially successful albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Call Him Up (1991), He That Believeth (1992), Hold On Don't Give Up (1996), and Saved, Sealed, Delivered (1999). Notable singles include "Mighty Good God / My Mind Is Made Up" released on April 4th, 2011. The choir's live performances were also well-received, with albums such as Live in Nashville (2003) and XV Live (2011).
