Paddy And The Rats

Paddy and the Rats, a Celtic punk band, was founded in 2008 in Miskolc, Hungary by Paddy O'Reilly, Vince Murphy, and Joey MacOnkay. The group blended punk rock with Celtic and folk music, later adding polka and Russian influences. Their debut album, Rats on Board, released in 2009, garnered international success within the Celtic punk community and won second and third place for Band of the Year at Celtic Rock Portal. In 2011, they released their second album, Hymns for Bastards. Their third album, Tales from the Docks, was released in 2013 and included traditional Celtic melodies combined with pirate-themed rhythms. Notable songs include "Bastards Back Home". The band continued to release albums, including Lonely Hearts' Boulevard (2015), Riot City Outlaws (2017), and From Wasteland to Wonderland (2022).
