Amy Lee, born in Denver, Colorado on May 30, 1989, better known by her stage name Ailee, is a Korean-American K-Pop and R&B singer. Growing up in New Jersey, she pursued a career in music, signing with New York-based agency Muzo Entertainment. She has recorded collaborations with several artists while creating her own social media accounts. After successfully auditioning for South Korean agency YMC Entertainment, she moved to South Korea to pursue her career. In early 2012, Ailee released her debut single “Heaven”, followed eight months later by Invitation, her debut EP. That year, she was recognized by the Seoul Music Awards, the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the Golden Disk Awards and the Gaon Chart Music Awards. Her second EP, A's Doll House, was released in July 2013 to great success. The EP's single, "U&I", rose to the top of several music charts just hours after its release. She released her third EP, Magazine, in September 2014. A year later, she released her debut album, Vivid (2015), which earned her several other accolades and included the hit single "Mind Your Own Business". More bestsellers followed, including the EP A New Empire, which earned Ailee her fourth consecutive Best Vocal Performance award at the net Asian Music Awards. During this rapid period of her career, Ailee became a true headliner, making her one of South Korea's most popular artists. She also released her first single in the United States, "Fall Back", under the pseudonym A.Leean. After even more concerts, she released Butterfly, her second album, in July 2019. This album was followed by two more EPs - I'm (2020) and Lovin' (2021) - and her third album, Amy (2021). ). Ailee has released numerous South Korean hits throughout her career, including "Don't Touch Me" (2014), "Johnny" (2015), "If You" (2016), and "I Will Go To You Like the First Snow”, which was featured in the soundtrack of the Guardian television series in 2017.
