Sophie Forte, born Sophie Forte on 7 March 1964 in Lyon, France, is a singer and French actor. She initially studied interior architecture but later pursued acting at the Cours René Simon, where she graduated with the first prize in 1989. Her early performances included singing in Montmartre cabarets and one-woman shows at cafés-théâtres like Le Point-Virgule in Paris. Her musical career began in earnest with the release of her self-titled debut album Sophie Forte in 2004, featuring jazz rhythms and humorous or nostalgic lyrics. Her subsequent albums were targeted towards children: Maman Dit Qu'il Ne Faut Pas (2007), J'suis Vert (2009), Chou-Fleur (2010) distributed by Universal Music, and Presque Nous (2016) with Thibaud Defever. She has also performed in various festivals including Avignon, Paris' Petit-Gymnase, Comédie Bastille, and Gaîté-Montparnasse.
