Andreas Varady

Andreas Varady, born on July 24, 1997, in Rimavská Sobota, Slovakia, is a Slovak Hungarian jazz guitarist. He began learning guitar at age four under his father Bandi's guidance and moved to Limerick, Ireland with his family in 2007. In 2010, Irish drummer David Lyttle produced his debut album Questions (2010). This release, along with his growing YouTube presence, attracted the attention of notable figures such as Martin Taylor, Louis Stewart, Tommy Emmanuel, and Quincy Jones. At age thirteen, he performed at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, becoming the club's youngest headliner. In 2012, he was invited by Claude Nobs to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival with Quincy Jones’s Global Gumbo. He signed with Verve Records in 2013 and released his self-titled album Andreas Varady (2014), produced by David Paich, Jay Oliver, and Quincy Jones. His subsequent albums include The Quest (2018) and Sunrise (2024).
