Gena Rose Bruce‘s forthcoming debut album Can’t Make You Love Me will be out worldwide on June 28 via Dot Dash Recordings.
Can't Make You Love Me showcases Bruce’s unmistakable brand of smoky rock; smouldering vocal performances, pulsing rhythms, echoes of Mazzy Star and Lynchian undertones. The album was produced by Tim Harvey (Teeth & Tongue, Lisa Mitchell) and audiences got their first glimpse in 2018 with the addictive singles ‘Coming Down’ and ‘The Way You Make Love’, which Bruce independently released.
An electrifying balance of tension and playfulness, her heartfelt live performances leave audiences full of longing. Whether playing solo or accompanied by her 4 bandmates, Bruce is a mesmerising onstage presence. She's been invited to support artists including BATTS, Alexander Biggs and Jade Imagine (who plays bass on the new record) among many others.
Can’t Make You Love Me is an intoxicating ride through love, lust, self-destruction and surrender.
